IT support for Bozeman-area businesses.
IT that just works, from someone who picks up the phone.
I keep Bozeman-area businesses running — email, servers, networks, backups, and the everyday problems in between. Remote support available nationwide.
How it works
- 1
Tell me what's going on
A quick call or message. Plain English is fine.
- 2
We talk through options
Clear choices, honest costs, no pressure.
- 3
I fix it or manage it ongoing
One-time fix or long-term support — your call.
Project work or ongoing support
Pick what fits. Plenty of clients start with one project and stay for ongoing support.
Project work
A defined job with a clear start and finish — a server migration, new firewall, email move, or website. You get a scope and a quote up front.
Ongoing managed support
I look after your systems month to month: updates, backups, monitoring, and help when someone's stuck. Predictable cost, fewer surprises.
What I help with
All servicesEmail and domain setup
Domains, DNS, Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace — set up right so email actually arrives.
Server builds and migrations
Active Directory, application and SQL servers, RDS, and moves to the cloud.
Network and firewall
Firewalls, switches, segmentation, VPN, and Wi-Fi that just works.
Storage, backup, and power
NAS storage, tested backups, and UPS protection for critical gear.
Endpoint and application support
Fixing computer, hardware, and software errors so people can get back to work.
Secure websites
Website design, hosting, and security hardening.
Why a solo technician
One person who knows your setup.
No call centers, no ticket ping-pong between departments. When you reach out to Sweet Grass IT, you reach the person who'll do the work.
Direct access
You talk to me, not a dispatcher.
No handoffs
Nothing gets lost explaining your problem three times.
Knows your environment
I remember how your network, servers, and quirks are set up.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
How quickly will you respond?
I typically respond within 8 hours. After-hours support is available unless otherwise scheduled. If something is urgent, say so in your message or ticket.
Do you work on-site or remotely?
Both. I come on-site in Bozeman and the surrounding area, and I can handle many problems remotely from anywhere. Remote is often quicker for software and account issues. Hardware, cabling, and new installs usually need a visit.
What can one technician realistically handle?
Day-to-day support, email and domains, servers, networks and firewalls, backups, computers and printers, and business websites. If a job needs more hands or a specialist, I'll tell you up front rather than stretch past what I can do well.
How does billing work?
It depends on how we work together: a quoted one-off project, a block of prepaid hours, or ongoing monthly support. You'll know the arrangement before any work starts, and invoices can be paid online.
What happens if you're unavailable?
If I'm going to be away, I'll let clients know ahead of time. Messages and tickets still come in and are answered in order when I'm back. For anything critical to your business, we'll agree on a plan in advance.
How do you handle my data and passwords?
I only access what I need for the job, and only with your permission. Passwords are stored in a password manager, never sent over plain email or written down, and I'll help you keep your own copy so you stay in control of your accounts.
